This one is a new pattern and was a bit of an experiment, but I am happy with the results! Super comfy, easy to put on and great for summer. Plus it’s pretty cute.

I made this kimono for all the festivals I attend; and by festivals I mean the kiddie pool in our backyard (#momlife). This is a great project to put your own personal spin on – you can add fringe, embellish the edges, do it in lace, or a silky charmeuse, so many options! Skill Level: Intermediate sewer. They can be made of one solid colour or mixed and matched with patterns like the ones I made for E. The possibilities are endless! Our little guy’s cheeks were more than rosy after walking the dog, so I made him a neck warmer that can be pulled up over his face. I love warm fabrics like minky, but it doesn’t have much give to get over a squirmy little head. So I improvised by adding stretchy fabric to the back. It was super easy and keeps him warm. It's an excuse for me to be like a kid again; put on theatrical costumes, carve Jack-o-Lanterns, and visit haunted houses. Plus, all the candy and chocolate you can eat!
This year I dressed the family up as the crew from The Wizard of Oz. Here are a few costumes from Halloween's past. It’s mid-wedding season and we have to make sure all family members, including the littlest ones, are looking their best. Besides who can resist a baby in a bow tie? This Dapper Onesie is cuteness overload!
