Tips & Tricks Start with the chair rail and build from there. It should be around 3 feet from the ground and leave a few inches from the wall at the ends. The corners are the trickiest to measure and cut, but you can use caulk to fill the inner corners if they are not perfect. We also used a staple gun with the glue on the chair rail, because of the thickness, to make sure it stuck. The outter picture frame should measure about 3 inches from the chair rail, the ceiling and the edges of the wall. Once you have cut and are ready to glue, start with the bottoms and tops closest to the chair rail, make sure you use a level! To complete each picture frame, hang the sides, then the top (or bottom if you are doing lower) all at once. This way you can maneuver them a bit while the glue is still wet. Work quickly! Add your caulk to the inner and outter frames and chair rail. it will help the pieces stick in place and give a more finished look once painted. Paint!
