What is cuter than one baby eating cake? Three babies eating cake! Here is E and his buddies (as well as the cutest little couple) H & M, at their First Birthday party. Since the cake smash is the 'main event', I wanted something fun and simple to decorate their highchairs. Strip bunting and marquee letters worked great and looked pefect in photos.

Skill Level: beginner

Highchairs
These highchairs are from IKEA - they are inexpensive and easy to wipe down.

Strip Bunting:
This is a great option if you are a sewer or quilter and have various scraps of fabric from old projects laying around. Simply cut strips of fabic 1-1.5 inches wide and about 2 feet long. Then, loop the strips around a ribbon so that each strand is doubled up. To obtain this fullness I used about 50-60 strips of fabric.

Tip* Broad cloth and flannel are great for this as they can be ripped along the grain. It saves you from cutting out every strip!

Marquee Letters:
I purchased the marquee letter from Michaels Craft Store, They have LOTs of letter options. You can do classic marquee letters that light up, decorative or wooden, so many possibilities!

For finishing touches, add heilum balloons from the dollar store.
